Making Young Dreams Reality

I’m a Pescetarian.

According to Wikipedia: “Pescetarianism is the practice of a diet that includes seafood, and excludes other animals. In addition to fish and/or shellfish, a pescetarian diet typically includes all of vegetables, fruit, nuts, grains, beans, eggs and dairy. The Merriam-Webster dictionary dates the origin of the term “pescetarian” to 1993 and defines it to mean: “one whose diet includes fish but no meat”.”

I’m glad I finally looked this up because I was going around calling myself a vegetarian when in actuality I am not. I will say, this diet is hard to accommodate when traveling. Your average fast-food restaurant doesn’t offer multiple seafood options and with my new job as a recruiter I’m traveling a lot. I decided to become a Pescetarian because it requires me to make healthier food choices. If I had my way I’d eat junk food and sweets 24/7. I’ve found this to be a little easier to adopt than veganism but still challenging enough that I have to really plan and balance my meals accordingly.

My favorite recipe blog and cookbook right now is Vegan Yum Yum. What’s yours?
